In line with the YWCA mission of empowering women and girls, all of the YWCA's programs are designed to strengthen the family and improve the quality of life of the community. We offer programs and support services in the areas of health, housing for women, nutrition, child care and respite for seniors. The Child Development Center provides community residents with access to quality and affordable child care services. This enables parents to improve their educational levels and access opportunities for employment. The Transitional Housing Program offers safe and affordable housing with supportive services to help residents achieve self-sufficiency and independence. The Senior Nutrition Program also offers opportunities for socialization and nutritious meals and provides information and referrals to available community resources, including health and language classes. In addition, our cultural and recreational programs provide either directly or indirectly through referrals, opportunities to maintain good health and improve the quality of life of community members.
